Bryce Napier (born August 12, 1999) is an American former professionalstock car racing driver. He has competed in theNASCARCamping World Truck Series, driving forRick Ware Racing,TJL Motorsports andJennifer Jo Cobb Racing.[1]
Napier started his racing career withgo-karts and then moved up toquarter midgets and minicup cars, eventually winning fiveCalifornia minicup championships.[2] Napier wasStockton 99 Speedway's Rookie of the Year in 2014 while driving alate model.[3]
Napier debuted in the Truck Series in the 2016Alpha Energy Solutions 250, starting last in the 32 car field and finishing 23rd, six laps down. He had set the June 18Iowa 200 atIowa Speedway as his next race,[4] but did not compete in it. Instead, he signed withPremium Motorsports for the summer race atBristol Motor Speedway.[5] He returned to Premium's No. 49 truck atPhoenix International Raceway.[6]
Napier returned to Martinsville in 2017, this time withTJL Motorsports. An early oil leak dropped him to last.[7] On June 13, 2017, it was announced that Napier would run four races withJennifer Jo Cobb Racing, including a race atTalladega Superspeedway after he turned 18.[8] In the first race of the agreement, atGateway Motorsports Park, Napier crashed in qualifying and had to move to JJC Racing's backup, the No. 0.[9] Napier returned at Iowa, this time in the 10, but dropped out early after running the truck under a start and park operation. He did not attempt a race after that during the 2017 season.
He attendedCypress Charter High School inLive Oak,California,[10] but then transferred toNatural Bridges High School inSanta Cruz.[2] His grandfather was an English road racer.[2]
