Bruno Remy Perrick Famin[1] is a French automotiveengineer. He is the vice president ofAlpine Motorsport since July 2023. He left the role of team principal ofAlpine F1 Team in August 2024, being replaced byOliver Oakes. He has since moved toRenault's mainline motorsports divisions.[2][3]
He was technical director ofPeugeot Sport before taking command of the latter in 2012. In 2019 he became director of operations for theFIA.
He obtained his engineering degree from theNational School of Arts and Crafts. In 1986, he began his professional career in logistics and transport inWest Africa. After continuing his studies at theEcole Nationale Supérieure du Pétrole et des Moteurs, joinedPeugeot Talbot Sport in 1989, where he joined the design office of the customer racing department as a development engineer. In 1994, he left the competition remaining withinGroupe PSA, and became a project manager, from where he left forArgentina before returning toFrance.[4] In 2005, he became technical director of Peugeot Sport.[5] In 2012, he was appointed director of Peugeot Sport, succeedingOlivier Quesnel.[6][7][8][9]
In 2019, he left Peugeot Sport and joined theInternational Automobile Federation (FIA), where he became director of operations for the sports branch.
Bruno Famin became CEO in charge of engine development for theAlpine F1 Team in February 2022.[10]
