American novelist
B.H. Rogers giving a talk atEurocon 2007 in Copenhagen. Bruce Holland Rogers is anAmerican author ofshort fiction who also writes under the pseudonym Hanovi Braddock. He writes in several genres including science fiction, fantasy, mysteries, and experimental.[ 1] His stories have won aPushcart Prize , twoNebula Awards , theBram Stoker Award , twoWorld Fantasy Awards , theMicro Award , and have been nominated for theEdgar Allan Poe Award and Spain'sPremio Ignotus .
The 2001 short filmThe Other Side , directed byMary Stuart Masterson , was based on his novelette, "Lifeboat on a Burning Sea".
He is a member of theWordos writers' group and was a founding member of the fiction faculty at the MFA program in creative writing of theNorthwest Institute of Literary Arts .[ 2] He has taught fiction writing seminars in Denmark, Greece, Finland, and Portugal. In 2010 he taught atEötvös Loránd University inBudapest on a Fulbright grant.[ 1]
