Bruce Arlington Young (born April 22, 1956) is an American television, film, and stage actor and screenwriter.[1]
Young is well known for his role as Cascade Police Captain Simon Banks in the hit popularUPN/CTV science fiction police dramaThe Sentinel, alongsideRichard Burgi, and Garrett Maggart.[1] Young also had roles in the filmsRisky Business,[1]Jurassic Park III,[1]The Color of Money,[1]Basic Instinct,[1]Into Temptation,Undisputed, andEnough. His other television roles include parts in21 Jump Street,E/R,[1]Highlander: The Series,Quantum Leap,[1]NYPD Blue,The X-Files,[1]Cold Case,Lady Blue,[1]Ghost Whisperer,Grey's Anatomy andPrison Break.
As television writer and screenwriter, Young has written for such television series and films asE/R andThe Lord Protector: The Riddle of the Chosen.[2]
From 1983 to 1987, while with theOrganic Theater Company inChicago, Young created, produced and was a cast member in "Dungeon Master",[3] a fusion ofimprovisational theatre andlive action role-playing; each show was a fantasy adventure scenario with theater cast members playing the monsters andnon-player characters and volunteer audience members serving as theplayer characters. Young restarted Dungeon Master in Los Angeles in 2001, where it is still active, although Young stopped active participation in 2006.
