Local government elections in Bristol, England

Bristol City Council is the local authority forBristol, aunitary authority andceremonial county in England. Until 1 April 1996 it was anon-metropolitan district inAvon. From 2012 until 2024 it also had adirectly elected mayor.

Because of the 2020COVID-19 pandemic, elections for theMayor of Bristol,Bristol City Council councillors, and theAvon and Somerset Police and Crime Commissioner were delayed from 2020 to May 2021, with post holders terms extended by a year and the following terms shortened by a year.[1]
