Bradley Shaw (born 13 February 1983 inChristchurch) is afield hockey player from New Zealand, who earned his first cap for the national team,nicknamedThe Black Sticks, in 2004 at theChampions Trophy against the Netherlands. He competed for New Zealand at the2008 Summer Olympics inBeijing,[1][2] the2012 Summer Olympics inLondon and the2006 Commonwealth Games inMelbourne and the2014 Commonwealth Games inGlasgow, where New Zealand narrowly missed out on a bronze medal, losing a shoot out to England.[2][3] He scored the winning goal against Argentina in the 2008 Olympic qualifying tournament.[4]
His older brotherHayden Shaw also plays in the national team.[citation needed]
