Bowning Creek, a mostly–perennial river[1] that is part of theMurrumbidgeecatchment in theMurray–Darling basin, is in theSouth Western Slopes andRiverina regions of New South Wales, Australia.
Bowning Creek (technically a river[1]) rises north ofBowning, on the south western slopes of theGreat Dividing Range, and flows generally south by west before reaching itsconfluence with theYass River west ofYass.
The creek is crossed by theHume Highway south of Bowning.
