Town of ancient Ionia

Boutheia (Ancient Greek:Βούθεια) orBouthia (Βουθία)[1] was a town ofancient Ionia, nearErythrae. It was a member of theDelian League since it is mentioned in tributary records ofAthens at least between the years 454/3 and 427/6 or 426/5 BCE.[2] In some of these records it appears as part of the territory of Erythrae.[2]

Its site is located near the modernÇeşme,İzmir Province,Turkey.[3][4]
