TheBougainville crow (Corvus meeki) is a species of bird in the crow family,Corvidae.
It is found in on the island ofBougainville inPapua New Guinea and the neighbouringShortland Islands in theSolomon Islands. Within its range it is the only species of crow.
The Bougainville crow is 41 cm long, with blackplumage and a large blackbill.
Its naturalhabitats aresubtropical or tropical moist lowland forest and subtropical or tropical moistmontane forest up to 1600 m.[2] It is a common species on Bougainville, but it might bethreatened in the future byhabitat loss caused by logging.
