Bohemia After Dark is an album byjazz drummerKenny Clarke, featuring the earliest recordings withCannonball Adderley andNat Adderley. It was released bySavoy Records in September 1955.[1][4]
The album, and its first track, are titled after theCafé Bohemia a restaurant where, between 1955 and 1960, jazz live sessions were held.
TheAllmusic review byScott Yanow states: "Although drummer Kenny Clarke is the nominal leader and the other sidemen include trumpeterDonald Byrd,Jerome Richardson on tenor and flute, pianistHorace Silver and bassistPaul Chambers, the impressive performance by the young Adderleys makes this a historic session that has often been reissued under Cannonball's name".[5]
All compositions by Julian "Cannonball" Adderley & Nat Adderley, except where indicated.
