Bodhi Pine Elfman (bornBodhi Pine Saboff)[1] is an American actor. He is the son of filmmakerRichard Elfman and Rhonda Joy Saboff. He is best known for playing the roles of Avram Hader in theFox television seriesTouch and for his recurring role in theCBS television seriesCriminal Minds as Peter "Mr. Scratch" Lewis.

Career

Elfman has had film roles inMercury Rising,Collateral,Godzilla andArmageddon, and smaller parts inThe Mod Squad,Keeping the Faith, andGone in 60 Seconds.[1][2][3][4][5]

Elfman starred in theUPN television seriesFreedom, alongsideHolt McCallany,Scarlett Chorvat andDarius McCrary, and inPirates of Silicon Valley alongsideNoah Wyle andAnthony Michael Hall.[6][7] He appeared in the short-livedABC television seriesHiller and Diller, guest-starred in an episode ofSliders,[8][9] and was part of the recurring cast ofTouch. Elfman also guest-starred in his wifeJenna's television showDharma & Greg, playing a performance artist who asks Dharma to be a part of his living display gallery.[10]

In 2012, Elfman and his wifeJenna started their podcast,Kicking and Screaming by Jenna and Bodhi Elfman.[11]

Personal life

Bodhi Pine Elfman was born inLos Angeles,California, and raised in the city's Hollywood district. He is the son of actor/directorRichard Elfman and Rhonda Joy Saboff, grandson of authorBlossom Elfman, and nephew of composerDanny Elfman.[12] In February 1991, he met Jennifer Mary Butala (Jenna Elfman) during an audition for aSprite commercial.[13] Four years later, they were married on February 18, 1995. Bodhi is ofJewish descent, and Jenna[14] was raisedCatholic. When they met he was a practicingScientologist. Jenna became a Scientologist after her husband introduced her to its teachings.

In 2000, Bodhi and Jenna Elfman bought the home owned byMadonna, a 5,000-square-foot (460 m2) 1920s house on a gated two-acre lot in the Hollywood Hills section ofLos Angeles. Having paidUS$4 million, they later sold the property in April 2004 for US$4.7 million to actressKatey Sagal, ofMarried... with Children fame.[15][16]

Their first child, son Story, was born in 2007, and their second child, son Easton, was born in 2010.[14]
