Bluetown is acensus-designated place (CDP) inCameron County, in theU.S. state ofTexas. The population was 356 at the2010 census.[1] It is part of theBrownsville–HarlingenMetropolitan Statistical Area.
Bluetown is in southwestern Cameron County, bordered to the west byIglesia Antigua and to the south by theRio Grande, which forms theMexico–United States border.U.S. Route 281 passes through the community, leading southeastward 26 miles (42 km) toBrownsville and west 29 miles (47 km) toHidalgo.La Feria is 6 miles (10 km) to the north.
According to theUnited States Census Bureau, the Bluetown CDP has a total area of 2.4 square miles (6.3 km2), of which 2.4 square miles (6.1 km2) is land and 0.08 square miles (0.2 km2), or 2.72%, is water.[1]

Bluetown first appeared as acensus designated place in the2010 U.S. census[14] after theBluetown-Iglesia Antigua CDP was split into the Bluetown andIglesia Antigua CDPs.[14]
