Blue Ridge is ahamlet in northwestAlberta, Canada withinWoodlands County.[2] It is located onHighway 658, 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) north ofHighway 43 and 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) south of theAthabasca River. It is midway between the towns ofWhitecourt andMayerthorpe and approximately 159 kilometres (99 mi) northwest ofEdmonton.
A lumber mill to the north of Blue Ridge, operated by Blue Ridge Lumber Inc., is the main employer for the community. The hamlet also offers services to the oil and gas industry and the surrounding agricultural community.

With a land area of 2.98 km2 (1.15 sq mi), it had a population density of70.8/km2 (183.4/sq mi) in 2021.[1]
As a designated place in the2016 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, Blue Ridge had a population of 244 living in 101 of its 105 total private dwellings, a change of2.1% from its 2011 population of 239. With a land area of 2.98 km2 (1.15 sq mi), it had a population density of81.9/km2 (212.1/sq mi) in 2016.[16]
