TheBloc of Communists and Non-Partisans (Russian:Блок коммунистов и беспартийных,romanized: Blok kommunistov i bespartiynykh) was apolitical alliance in the Soviet Union of theCommunist Party withnon-partisans,[1] which nominated its candidates on a non-alternative basis in allelections to the Soviets from1937 until1984.[2][3] The alliance's last election was also the Soviet Union's last national election, in1989. The alliance dissolved along with the Communist Party and Soviet Union in late 1991.
