Blanco State Park is a 104.6-acre (42.3 ha)state park, along a mile of theBlanco River, on the southern edge ofBlanco, Texas, United States. The park opened in 1934 and is managed by theTexas Parks and Wildlife Department.
Much of the early development of the park was done by theCivilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s, including a group picnic pavilion.
On May 24, 2015 the park was hit by a catastrophic flood.
The park is hilly with mostlycedar, andpecan trees. Among the animals seen at the park arenutria,mallards,raccoon,armadillo andsquirrel.[3]
The park featurescamping,picnicking,swimming,tubing,hiking, and wildlife watching.
