Blair Thomas Fagan Tarrant (born 11 May 1990) is a New Zealandfield hockey player who plays as a defender for theNew Zealand national team.[3]
He represented his country at the2016 Summer Olympics inRio de Janeiro, where themen's team came seventh.[4][5]
Tarrant plays as a defender for the Southern region in the New Zealand Hockey League.[6] In 2012, he signed a two-year contract atSCHC in the Netherlands.[7] Due to his commitments to the national team, he would miss the preparation for the second half of the season so in January 2013 his contract at SCHC was annulled and he returned to New Zealand.[8] After the2016 Summer Olympics he returned to the Netherlands to play forRotterdam.[9] In April 2020, it was announced he left Rotterdam together withKane Russell forHamburger Polo Club in Germany for the 2020–21 season.[10]
