Bishop Island[1] is aBaffin Island offshore island located in theArctic Archipelago in the territory ofNunavut. The island lies inFrobisher Bay, approximately 13 km (8.1 mi) southwest ofIqaluit.Hill Island andFaris Island are in the immediate vicinity.
The island was named by American Arctic explorerCharles Francis Hall.[2]
