Bina (Persian:بینا,lit.'insightful') is an Iranianlaser-guided dual-capabilitysurface-to-surface andair-to-surfacemissile.

History

It was successfully tested byIranian military on February 10, 2014, according to Janes and Reuters.[1] It appears to be anAGM-65 Maverick air-to-ground missile with a semi-active laser (SAL) seeker fitted to its nose.[2]

Brigadier GeneralHossein Dehqan said the ballistic missile had radar-evading capabilities.[1]

The Bina-2air-to-surface missile was unveiled in 2018 which has increased its precision and range.
