Bilohorivka (Ukrainian:Білогорівка; Russian:Белогоровка) is a village inBakhmut Raion,Donetsk Oblast, easternUkraine. It is located approximately 82 kilometres (51 mi) north-north-east from the centre ofDonetsk and 46 kilometres (29 mi) east fromKramatorsk.
The village came underattack by Russian forces during theRussian invasion of Ukraine in 2022.[2][3] Since November 2022, it has been occupied.
As of 27 June 2022, according to the Ukrainian-basedDeepStateMap.Live, the eastern end of Bilohorivka (east of the main highway) was occupied by Russian forces.[4][better source needed]
On 30 November 2022, theRussian Armed Forces re-captured the village.[5][better source needed]
The invaders are also attempting to cut the Lysychansk-Bakhmut highway (by storming Yakovlivka and Bilohorivka in the Donetsk Oblast) and to capture the Horlivka-Popasna route (battles are being fought over the Troits'ke and Luhanske regions on the border, with 10 km of road between them remaining in Ukrainian hands).
The defenders are trying to prevent the seizure of the Lysychansk–Bakhmut road section in the Donetsk Oblast, halting the assaults in the Biolohorivka–Nahirne–Berestove area.
