William Lomas (8 March 1928 – 14 August 2007) was an EnglishGrand Prix motorcycleroad racer. He was a two-timeWorld Champion[2] and a two-timeIsle of Man TT winner.[3] He won the1955 and1956 350cc world championship as a member of theMoto Guzzi factory racing team. In the1956 season, he rode the famousV8 Moto Guzzi Grand Prix race bike. Lomas was also an accomplishedtrials rider.
He died inMansfield, England on 14 August 2007 from complications following a heart attack.[4]
