Bilal Šuman (born 9 June 1968) is a Bosnian formerhandball player and currentcoach. He has coachedDanish Men's Handball League clubKIF Kolding and theBosnia and Herzegovina national team.
As a player, he played in theright wing position for Igman Ilidža andEurofarm Pelister 2 in the formerYugoslavia and forKIF Kolding in Denmark and has also represented theBosnia and Herzegovina men's national handball team,[1] making 32 appearances and scoring 124 goals.[2] With KIF Kolding he won the 1996Danish Men's Handball Cup and was named MVP for the tournament.[3] He is the only Bosnian (by 2025) to have been so. He was also the first non-Dane to win the award.
As a coach, Šuman worked at Kolding where he won the2013–14 Håndboldligaen[2] and qualified Bosnia and Herzegovina for the2020 EHF European Men's Handball Championship.[4] He remained as Bosnia's coach until 17 February 2021.[5]
Šuman's son, Benjamin, is also a professional handball player who plays as aleft winger for his father's former clubKolding.[6]
