Bijan Zolfagharnasab (Persian:بیژن ذوالفقارنسب, born June 7, 1949, inSanandaj) is a retired Iranianfootball player and currently a football manager.
He started his professional career withPas Tehran, before changing toPersepolis F.C. in 1974. There he could win theIranian championship in 1976 and reach runner-up position in1975, in1977 and in1978. After theIranian Revolution he remained playing for Persepolis winning the Iranian nationwide tournamentEspandi Cup in 1979 before retiring from football and starting his studies in Physical Education inBrussels.
He was a starter at the1976 Asian Cup inTehran, which Iran won. He also participated in thefootball tournament at the1976 Olympics, where Iran progressed to the quarter-finals. As of June 2011, he is a member of Technical Committee ofPersepolis.
He received his Ph.D. from theUniversity of Brussels in the field ofPhysical Education in the early 80's.
