TheBhojpuri Wikipedia (Bhojpuri: भोजपुरी विकिपीडिया) is theBhojpuri language version ofWikipedia, run by the Wikimedia Foundation. The site was launched on 21 February 2003.[1][need quotation to verify] Bhojpuri is today written in the Devanagari script. Bhojpuri is anIndo-Aryan language spoken in northern-eastern India and theTerai region ofNepal.[2] It is chiefly spoken in westernBihar and easternUttar Pradesh.[3] The language is a minority language inFiji,Guyana,Mauritius,South Africa,Suriname, andTrinidad and Tobago.
