Constituency of the Maharashtra legislative assembly in India
Bhiwandi Rural is one of the 288Vidhan Sabha (legislative assembly)constituencies of theMaharashtra state in western India. This constituency is located inThane district andPalghar district,[1] and was created in 2008 delimitation exercise. Most of the area under it was earlier covered by the erstwhileWada Assembly constituency.[2] It is a segment ofBhiwandi (Lok Sabha constituency) .
The constituency comprises parts ofBhiwandi taluka viz. revenue circles Dighashi, Angaon,Padgha, Additional Bhiwandi, Kharbav, Padgha (CT), Kon (CT) parts ofWada taluka viz. revenue circles Wada.[1]
