Bhagyashri Borse (born 6 May 1999) is an Indian actress who appears primarily inSouth films. After doing cameo appearances inHindi filmsYaariyan 2 (2023) andChandu Champion (2024), she made her lead debut in South with the Telugu filmMr. Bachchan (2024) for which she has won theSIIMA Award for Best Female Debut – Telugu.[1][2]
Borse was born on 6 May 1999 inAurangabad, now known asChhatrapati Sambhajinagar, inMaharashtra, India.[1] She lived inLagos, Nigeria, for seven years during her schooling before moving back to India. She later studied business management (BMS) inMumbai while pursuing modelling.[3]
Bhagyashri made her acting debut inHindi cinema withYaariyan 2 (2023) before starring inChandu Champion (2024), both of which were minor roles. She enteredTelugu cinema withMr. Bachchan (2024), directed byHarish Shankar and starringRavi Teja.[1] Borse's performance inMr. Bachchan received attention from critics.Cinema Express observed that directorHarish Shankar “relies on commercial treatment but gives enough room for his female lead Bhagyashri Borse to shine.”[4]Deccan Chronicle later featured her among rising Telugu cinema talents, noting that her “transition from modelling to mainstream Telugu films has drawn strong audience recall.”[5]
Her breakthrough came withKingdom (2025), an action thriller directed byGowtam Tinnanuri and starringVijay Deverakonda, where she played a significant supporting role.[2] She signed to be a part of the film in mid-2024.[6]Kingdom drew mixed critical response, withThe Indian Express highlighting her "on-screen chemistry withVijay Deverakonda in the song ‘Hridayam Lopala’"[7] andDeccan Chronicle describing the film as "visually grand yet poorly paced," while noting the cast's "credible performances".[8] She is signed as a lead alongsideRam Pothineni inAndhra King Taluka and also cast oppositeDulquer Salmaan in her Tamil debut filmKaantha, both 2025.[9]
