TheBerziti (Bulgarian,Macedonian andSerbian:Берзити;Greek:Βερζῆτες,romanized: Berzites) were aSouth Slavic tribe that settled inByzantineMacedonia in late 6th century AD with theSlavic invasion of the Balkans. The Berziti settled in the vicinity ofLychnidos (Ohrid).[1] One part of the same tribe settled inBrest, Belarus, while another, moved south into theBalkans.[2]
Jedno slovensko pleme zove se u izvorima 7 vijeka Brziti, a navodi se kao naselje u južnoj Makedoniji. Uzima se danas općenito, da su to Brsjaci oko Ohridskog i Pre- spanskog Jezera i oko gradova Velesa, Prilepa i Bitolja.
