Berziti

TheBerziti (Bulgarian,Macedonian andSerbian:Берзити;Greek:Βερζῆτες,romanizedBerzites) were aSouth Slavic tribe that settled inByzantineMacedonia in late 6th century AD with theSlavic invasion of the Balkans. The Berziti settled in the vicinity ofLychnidos (Ohrid).[1] One part of the same tribe settled inBrest, Belarus, while another, moved south into theBalkans.[2]
