Bengt Axel Bergt (born 7 May 1982) is a German politician of theSocial Democratic Party (SPD) who was elected themember of the Bundestag forSegeberg – Stormarn-Mitte in the2021 German federal election.[1]

Bergt was born inLuckenwalde.

From 2015 to 2021, Bergt worked forNordex. During that time, he served as deputy chair of theworks council and as chair of theEuropean Works Council from 2020 to 2021.[2]

Political career

Bergt became a member of the German Bundestag in the2021 German federal election, representing theSegeberg – Stormarn-Mitte district. In parliament, he has since been serving on the Committee on Climate Action and Energy and the Committee on Petitions.[3]

Within his parliamentary group, Bergt belongs to theParliamentary Left, a left-wing movement.[4]
