Bencomo (Spanish pronunciation:[beŋˈkomo];c. 1438 – 1495) was the penultimatemencey or king ofTaoro, aGuanchemenceyato on the island ofTenerife. He fought in theFirst Battle of Acentejo, a victory for the Guanches against the invadingCastilians, after having refused the terms ofAlonso Fernández de Lugo. He may have perished on the heights of San Roque during theBattle of Aguere alongside his brotherTinguaro.[1]

He had several children, includingAdjona,Dácil,Bentor, Ruiman, Rosalva, Chachiñama, and Tiñate. Bentor succeeded him as mencey until his suicide in February 1495.[2]
