TheBellingham Subdivision orBellingham Sub is a railway line running about 119 miles[5] (191 km) fromEverett, Washington toBlaine, Washington. It is operated byBNSF Railway.

Description

Traveling north from PA Jct. inEverett, the main line of the BNSF heads north throughDelta Yard andDelta Jct The line crosses theSnohomish River and across 4 bridges 3 that are movable for boat traffic. The line passes through the city ofMarysville and by Kruse Jct. which leads toArlington 6.9 miles (11.1 km) away.

The main line then continues north to the siding at English and the firstAmtrak Cascades stop north ofEverett at the city ofStanwood. The line continues into theSkagit Valley and passingConway and to the next station for Amtrak Cascades atMount Vernon.

The line continues north past the oldMount Vernon station and to the junction atBurlington with the offshoot to Fidalgo orFidalgo Island to the west and theSumas Subdivision to the east. From here the line continues north throughBow to the next station atFairhaven Station. After passing through downtownBellingham and the old depot, the line continues north throughFerndale to the end of the subdivision atBlaine.

Scheduled traffic on the Bellingham Subdivision consists of four Amtrak Cascades Trains, several manifest trains and occasional unit trains of coal and coke going toRoberts Bank[6][7]
