TheBelgium women's national basketball team (nicknamedBelgian Cats) representsBelgium in internationalbasketball, and are controlled byBasketball Belgium. Belgium's first appearance in a major international tournament came atEuroBasket 1950. The team has participated in theEuropean Championship 15 times overall. Their best results at the event are winning two titles (2023,[2]2025[3]) and two third place finishes (2017,[4] and2021[5]). Belgium has also competed on the global stage, where they have made two appearances at theWorld Cup (2018,[6]2022[7]), and two at theOlympic Games (2020,[8]2024[9]). Belgium will be the co-host for the FIBA Women's EuroBasket in2027 along with Finland, Sweden and Lithuania.
