Beihu District (simplified Chinese:北湖区;traditional Chinese:北湖區;pinyin:Běihú Qū) is one of two urbandistricts inChenzhou Prefecture-level City,Hunan province, China.
The district is located in the southwestern part of the city proper. It is bordered to the northeast bySuxian District, to the southeast byYizhang County, to the south byLinwu County, and to the west and northwest byGuiyang County. Beihu District covers an area of 830.15 km2 (320.52 sq mi), and as of 2015, it had a registered population of 389,200 and a permanent resident population of 429,900.[3] The district has eight subdistricts, two towns and two townships under its jurisdiction. The government seat isLuoxian Subdistrict (骆仙街道).[4]
