Bayan County (simplified Chinese:巴彦县;traditional Chinese:巴彦縣;pinyin:Bāyàn Xiàn) is acounty ofHeilongjiang Province,NortheastChina, it is under the administration of theprefecture-level city ofHarbin, the capital of Heilongjiang. It bordersMulan County to the east,Bin County to the south,Hulan District to the west, as well as theprefecture-level city ofSuihua to the north.
There are tentowns and eighttownships in the county:[4][5]
The population of the district was 677,955 in 1999.[6]
