Batman and the Mad Monk is anAmerican comic booklimited series, featuring theDC ComicssuperheroBatman published in 2006–2007.[1] It is set during theBatman: Year One continuity, but after the events ofBatman and the Monster Men and before the events ofBatman: The Man Who Laughs. It is the second part ofMatt Wagner's two-partDark Moon Rising series, which are expanded and modernized versions ofGolden Age Batman stories.[2]
Batman must counter sinister machinations and new dimensions of wickedness as he confronts the hooded menace of theMad Monk, his first encounter with asupernatural villain. He also must deal with the direct repercussions of the events inBatman and the Monster Men.
The second in his 'Dark Moon Rising' series, writer/artist Matt Wagner dug up another Golden Age gem in the person of the Mad Monk in this six-issue follow-up toBatman and the Monster Men.
