Barru Regency is aregency ofSouth Sulawesi province ofIndonesia. It covers an area of 1,174.72 km2 and had a population of 165,983 at the 2010 Census[2] and 184,452 at the 2020 Census.[3] The official estimate of population as of mid-2023 was 194,543.[1] The principal town lies atBarru.
Barru Regency in 2020, as in 2010, comprised seven administrativeDistricts (Kecamatan), tabulated below with their areas and their populations at the 2010 Census[2] and at the 2020 Census,[3] together with the official estimates as at mid 2023.[1] The table also includes the locations of the district administrative centres, the number ofadministrative villages in each district (totaling 40 ruraldesa and 15 urbankelurahan), and its postal code(s).
