Barmore Island is apeninsula inScotland^[1] located on the east ofKnapdale,^[2] in the council area ofArgyll and Bute. It is 1 and a half miles north fromTarbert.^[3]

The peninsula is attached to the main land by a narrow strip.^[4]

ThePS Chevaliar wrecked here in the year 1927.^[5]

The ship Nancy Glen is thought to have wrecked 400 feet near Barmore Island.^[6]
