Barmeen is atownland inCounty Antrim,Northern Ireland. It is located at the foot ofGlendun, one of the nineGlens of Antrim, west ofCushendun and north ofKnocknacarry. It is situated in the historicbarony ofCary and thecivil parish of Culfeightrin and covers 59 acres.[1]

The name derives from theIrish:Barr min (smooth top).[2] The population of the townland declined during the 19th century:[3][4]
