TheBar (French pronunciation:[baʁ]ⓘ) is ariver in theArdennes department, northernFrance, left tributary of the riverMeuse. It is 62 km (39 mi) long.[1] Its source is nearBuzancy, in the southern part of the Ardennes department. It flows throughBrieulles-sur-Bar,Tannay,Chémery-sur-Bar andCheveuges. It flows into the Meuse inVrigne-Meuse, west ofSedan. For much of its length the river flows parallel to theCanal des Ardennes.
