Constituency of the Old Parliament of Scotland
Banff was aburgh constituency that elected onecommissioner to theParliament of Scotland and to theConvention of Estates.
After theActs of Union 1707, Banff,Cullen,Elgin,Inverurie andKintore formed theElgindistrict of burghs, returning one member between them to theHouse of Commons of Great Britain.
