Ballydesmond GAA is aGaelic Athletic Association club based inBallydesmond inCounty Cork,Ireland. ItsGaelic Football team participates in competitions organized byCork GAA, and is a member ofDuhallow division. The club is located close to the border withCounty Kerry and is therefore involved in the sporting rivalry between the counties. The club has members with allegiances to both counties.Gaelic handball is also played within the club. The team won theDuhallow Junior A Football Championship in 2007. They subsequently went on to win the Cork Junior County Football Championship that same year and were promoted to theCork Intermediate Football Championship. Club memberDonncha O'Connor played for theCork Senior Football Team. As of 2010, he was the all-time top scorer for the Cork Senior Footballers.[1][2]
