Balat (Arabic:بلاط, also spelledBlat) is a village in northernSyria located west ofHoms in theHoms Governorate. According to theSyria Central Bureau of Statistics, Balat had a population of 574 in the 2004 census.[1] Its inhabitants are predominantlyGreek OrthodoxChristians.[2] The village has aGreek Orthodox Church.[3]
