Baeopogon is a genus ofpasserine birds in thebulbul family,Pycnonotidae.
The genusBaeopogon was introduced in 1860 by the German ornithologistFerdinand Heine with thehoneyguide greenbul as thetype species.[1] The name combines theAncient Greekbaios (βαιός) meaning "small" or "little" withpōgōn meaning "beard".[2]
