Bad Bramstedt (German: [baːt ˈbʁaːmʃtɛt] ⓘ ) is a municipality in the district ofSegeberg , inSchleswig-Holstein ,Germany . It is situated approximately 40 km north ofHamburg . It is famous for its statue ofRoland and itsrheumatism clinic .
Geography and transport [ edit ] Bad Bramstedt lies 49 kilometers southwest ofKiel , 54 kilometers west ofLübeck , and 40 kilometers north ofHamburg on the historicalOx Road . The Altona-Kieler Chaussee (L318/L319) passes through the town. This about 94 kilometer-longLandstraße (state road) was built between 1830 and 1832. The confluence of theOsterau andHudau rivers, which come together to form theBramau , is found in Bad Bramstedt.
