Bénie Adama Traoré (born 30 November 2002) is an Ivorian professionalfootballer who plays as aforward orwinger forSwiss Super League clubBasel.[2]

Club career

After two years withASEC Mimosas, Traoré joinedHäcken in January 2021.[3] He made his debut in aSvenska Cupen match againstDalkurd in February.[4] He scored his first goal againstIK Gauthiod in the Svenska Cupen on 27 February.[5] He made hisAllsvenskan debut on 24 April againstHalmstad.[6] In March 2022, during a Svenska Cupen match againstHammarby, his leg was severely injured and he was sidelined for eight months.[7] He signed a new contract with Häcken on 26 September 2022 and went on to win the2022 Allsvenskan after recovering from his injury.[8][9]

In July 2023 he joined newly promotedPremier League sideSheffield United on a four-year contract for an undisclosed fee.[10] He made his official debut on 12 August 2023 in a 1–0 loss toCrystal Palace in the Premier League.

On 4 January 2024, Traoré joinedLigue 1 clubNantes on loan until the end of the2023–24 season, with an option to make the move permanent.[11]

On 22 July 2024, Traoré signed forSwiss Super League clubBasel for an undisclosed fee, signing a four-year deal.[12]
