Ayane Sakura (佐倉 綾音,Sakura Ayane; born January 29, 1994) is a Japanesevoice actress affiliated withAoni Production. She won the Best Supporting Actress award at the12th Seiyu Awards.

Sakura was born on January 29, 1994, inEbisu, Shibuya,Tokyo, Japan. She had a desire in becoming an actress and decided to enroll in a theater acting school, during her junior high school years. At school, she studied Japanese dancing, stretching, sword fighting, voice training and acting, although she initially continued to pursue acting, after performing on stage, she realized that she "was different" and decided that acting was no longer a suitable career for her.[1] At this point, she decided to become avoice actress.[1]
Sakura made her voice acting debut in 2010, starring inKeroro Gunso the Super Movie: Creation! Ultimate Keroro, Wonder Space-Time Island,[2] and playing Futaba Shirayuki in the ninth episode of the anime seriesŌkami-san & her Seven Companions, as well as voicing background characters in the anime seriesOreimo. In 2011, she voiced Merry Nightmare, the heroine of the anime seriesDream Eater Merry, as well as the character Yozora Mikazuki in the anime seriesHaganai during flashbacks.[3] She also performed the song "Yume to Kibō to Ashita no Atashi" (ユメとキボーとアシタのアタシ), which was used as the ending theme toDream Eater Merry.[4] In 2012, she voiced the character Miyabi Kannagi inNakaimo - My Sister Is Among Them!, Marii Buratei inJoshiraku, and Ayami Ōruri inPretty Rhythm: Dear My Future.[3] She also performed the song "Heavenly Lover" together with the other cast members ofNakaimo,[5] and the song "Oato ga Yoroshikutte...Yo!" (お後がよろしくって…よ!)" which she performed together with herJoshiraku co-stars; the song was used as the opening theme toJoshiraku.[6]
In 2013, Sakura played Asuka Mishima inA Town Where You Live, Alisa Ayase inLove Live!, Yuiko Enomoto inLove Lab, Natsumi Koshigaya inNon Non Biyori, Akane Isshiki inVividred Operation and Suzuka Dairenji inTokyo Ravens.[3] In 2014, she played the role of Cocoa Hoto in the anime seriesIs the Order a Rabbit?; she and her co-stars performed the series' opening theme "Daydream Cafe" as the group Petit Rabbit's.[7] She also played Silvia Lautreamont inDragonar Academy, Yuzuki Kurebayashi inSelector Infected WIXOSS, Levi Kazama inTrinity Seven and Tsubaki Sawabe inYour Lie in April.[3] In 2015, Sakura reprised the role for the second season ofIs the Order a Rabbit?; she and her co-stars performed the series' opening theme "No-Poi!".[8] She voiced Nao Tomori inCharlotte,[9] Iroha Isshiki inMy Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, As I Expected,[10] Haru Onodera inNisekoi,[11] and Moa inShow by Rock!!.[3] In 2016, Sakura playedOchaco Uraraka inMy Hero Academia,[12] Rena Asteria inRegalia: The Three Sacred Stars and Ryoka Narusawa inOccultic;Nine.[3] In 2017, she played the roles of Hikari Tsuneki inSeiren,[13] Phoena inChain Chronicle,[14] and Shizuku Hanaoka inWelcome to the Ballroom.[15] Sakura shared the Best Supporting Actress Award at the12th Seiyu Awards withSaori Ōnishi.[16] In 2018, she played the roles of Yū Ōsawa inMs. Koizumi Loves Ramen Noodles and Saiko Yonebayashi inTokyo Ghoul:re.[17][18] In 2019, she played Yotsuba Nakano inThe Quintessential Quintuplets.
On January 31, 2022, Sakura announced that she has left her talent agencyI'm Enterprise.[19] The following day,Aoni Production announced that she has joined their agency.[20]
