Aya Sakura (さくら あや,Sakura Aya; born September 13, 1996) is a Japaneseprofessional wrestler. She works forWorld Wonder Ring Stardom, where she is one-half of the currentNew Blood Tag Team Champions in her first reign and a member ofCosmic Angels. She is also known for her appearance inSendai Girls' Pro Wrestling, where she is a formerSendai Girls Junior Champion.
Sakura made her official in-ring debut at New Blood Premium on March 25, 2023, where she facedGiulia.[1]
Sakura had to be long-term withdrawal due to a neck injury since July 9, 2023.[2]
Sakura returned on March 10, 2024.[3]
Sakura facedSayaka Kurara in atime-limit draw on March 30, 2024.[4]
Sakura officially joined the Cosmic Angels with Kurara on April 12, 2024.[5] Sakura pinned theFuture of Stardom Champion,Rina in a tag match on September 8, 2024.[6][better source needed]
AtStardom New Year Dream, Sakura unsuccessfully challenged Chi Chi for theSendai Girls Junior Championship on January 3, 2025.[7] On March 8, 2025, Sakura went through a time-limit draw withHanako in theStardom Cinderella Tournament 2025, which eliminated both from the tournament.[8] AtHistoric X-Over in Guangzhou, Sakura would face her again with theFuture of Stardom Championship on the line, but was unsuccessful.[9] On November 30, 2025, Sakura won theGoddesses of Stardom Tag League with Kurara after defeatingBMI2000 (Natsuko Tora andRuaka) in the finals.[10]
Sakura unsuccessfully challengedRina for theFuture of Stardom Championship atNew Blood 15 on September 29, 2024.[11]
Sakurara (Sakura and Kurara) won theNew Blood Tag Team Championship by defeatingRice or Bread (Waka Tsukiyama andHanako) atStardom New Blood 26 on October 30, 2025.[12]
Sakurara (Sakura and Kurara) defeatsYuna Mizumori andAnne Kanaya to retain their titles atStardom New Blood 28 on February 2, 2026.[13]
Sakura participated in the Jaja Uma Tournament 2024 and won against Yuzuki in the quarterfinals,[14] Yuna in the semifinals,[15] but lost against Chi Chi in the finals.[16]
Sakura defeated Chi Chi to win theSendai Girls Junior Championship on March 19, 2025.[17] Sakura lost theSendai Girls Junior Championship againstYuna at Senjo The Biggest on August 24, 2025, ending her reign at 158 days.[18]
