Avari Hotels (Urdu:آواری ہوٹل) is a Pakistani internationalhotel chain based inKarachi. It operates five hotel properties in Pakistan, a duo inDubai, and one inToronto.[1]
Avari Hotels Group was founded in March 1948 by Dinshaw Avari who was originally fromBombay.[2][3]
Avari Hotels first location was the Beach Luxury Hotel inKarachi which opened on 21 March 1948.[2] Later, Avari Hotel Lahore was opened in 1978 and the 17-story Avari Tower Hotel with 120 suites inKarachi in 1985.[2]
In 2013, the group announced the launch of a major expansion phase.[4] In 2017, Avari Hotels announced the opening of two 4-star hotels inMultan.[5]
The hotel chain is owned by theParsi Avari family and which was led byByram D. Avari until his death in 2023.[6][7]
