TheAustralian Nationalist Party (ANP) was a minorAustralian political party that contested the1958 federal election. The ANP unsuccessfully ran five candidates inQueensland: Noel Condie in thedivision of Bowman, John Morgan in thedivision of Brisbane, Mervyn Goldstiver in thedivision of Lilley, Horace Burge in thedivision of Petrie, and Ronald Edmonds in thedivision of Ryan. The party's objectives included opposition tocommunism andsocialism, reducing taxes, restoring the proportion of Britishimmigration to 75% of the total, deportation of migrants convicted of certain crimes, increasingsocial services, restoration offull employment, opposition to salary rises for politicians, and support forstates' rights.[1]
