August Priske Flyger (born 23 March 2004) is a Danish professionalfootballer who plays as aforward forAllsvenskan clubDjurgårdens IF. He is the son of former Danish international footballerBrian Priske.
Priske started playing in Denmark atAC Horsens, and then went toFC Copenhagen, where he played there for one and-a-half year. After which, he moved toFC Midtjylland.[2]
Priske went on loan from FC Midtjylland toPSV Eindhoven in September 2021.[3] He started playing for their under-18 team and made his senior debut forJong PSV in theEerste Divisie in January 2022, scoring on his debut in a 5–1 win againstAlmere City.[4][5] The loan was repeated for the 2022–23 season but PSV stipulated an option to buy in the deal.[6][7]
Priske returned to Midtjylland ahead of the 2023–24 season and was given hisDanish Superliga debut againstLyngby Boldklub on 6 August 2023.[8] However, two weeks later, he moved toEerste Divisie sideFC Eindhoven on a one-year loan deal and—at the same time—extended his contract with Midtjylland until June 2028.[9][10] After finishing his loan spell, Priske returned to Midtjylland.[11]
In August 2024, he signed forAllsvenskan clubDjurgårdens IF Fotboll, agreeing a four-year contract.[2] He made his debut for the club appearing as a substitute in theUEFA Conference League against Finnish sideIlves on 8 August 2024.[12]
Priske has represented theDenmark national under-19 football team.[13]
He was born in Belgium, and is the son of football manager and former Danish international football playerBrian Priske.[14][1]
