Ancient town in Aeolis

Atarneus (Ancient Greek:Ἀταρνεύς), calledAtarneus sub Pitanem to distinguish it from theother city of the name, was a town ofancient Aeolis nearPitane.[1]

Its site is located nearGavurgör,Asiatic Turkey.[2][3]
