TheAssociation of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA;Azerbaijani:Azərbaycan Futbol Federasiyaları Assosiasiyası, AFFA) is the governing body offootball inAzerbaijan. Formed in 1992, it is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the amateur and professional game in its territory. AFFA is a member of bothUEFA andFIFA.[1]

It runs numerous competitions, the most famous of which is theAzerbaijan Cup. It is also responsible for appointing the management of themen's,women's andyouth national football teams and leagues.

The AFFA was formed on 26 March 1992, after Azerbaijan gained independence from theUSSR.[2] On 23 February 2009, the AFFA, along withUEFA vice presidentŞenes Erzik, unveiled theAzerbaijan Football Academy at Nobel Avenue,Baku.[3][4]

In 2010, the association adopted a new logo.[5] In 2012, the federation held an election withRovnag Abdullayev being the only candidate. He was elected to serve a second term as head of the AFFA.[6]
